I don’t want to be pretty

In this life I don’t want to be pretty.

There is a plethora of pretty.

What makes me different or even better or less than the other pretties?

We all have the same appeal but nonetheless look different.

But I don’t want to look pretty.

Men find validating success in power (income, job, hierarchy)

Women find validating success in their appearance (body and face)

Men utilize their power to find a pretty woman to define their stature.

Meanwhile, a pretty woman find solace in a successful man for the opportunity (money, desires, security)

This is why gender stereotypes and assumptions never die because they work so seamlessly together, like a puzzle.

Well in this life I don’t want my validating factor to be I’m pretty. I don’t want opportunity in a man. But to be validated in my success and who I am not as a pretty being.
