About an aspersion on self.
Aspersion (noun): An attack on the reputation or integrity of someone or something.
One day, while reading a book (I can't recall the title now), I came across the word "aspersion." Its profound implications, encompassing the tarnishing of one's reputation and the erosion of integrity, seized my cognitive faculties with an inexplicable fascination. Strangely, it resonated with me, reminding me of how we readily we undermine our own essence, perpetually undervaluing the incandescent worth that resides within.
Though I humbly concede that my utilization of the term may not precisely align with its prescribed definition, the phrase "aspersion on self" encapsulates a profound truth—our propensity to assume the role of our own adversaries, inflicting upon ourselves the harshest of critiques.
Experiencing personal growth, I felt compelled to create a platform to document my journey of self-discovery. My aim is to inspire and reassure people from all walks of life that they are not alone. Sometimes, we all need a reminder of that.
To me, this goes beyond being just a blog—it's a community where I share my interests and the things that inspire me. My hope is that they will also ignite inspiration within you. So, thank you for being a part of this journey. I hope you enjoy!
